Adrian Prince resides in the suburbs of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. His home is in the suburban city of Brampton. The now sprawling 600,000 person city had as few as 10,000 people in the 1950s. Growing up in the musically rich Toronto metropolitan area inspired Adrian Prince to add his personal touch to the pages of musical history in his hometown.

It’s no accident that Adrian Prince’s life has been a winding road encompassed by music. His father, a native of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, played the guitar in his younger years. His mother is from the musical gem that is the island nation of Jamaica. Adrian Prince began his foray into his musical journey as a singer. Adrian Prince also played the saxophone in the fourth grade.

By osmosis reggaetón, dance hall, Afro beats, and world music influence Adrian Prince’s musical style as much as the sounds of Toronto.

The transition from singer to rapper was bridged by Adrian Prince learning musical production as a music producer first. His high school featured a curriculum that was creativity intensive. Film production, animation design, and more creative-centric courses were available for Adrian Prince and his classmates. The likes of Daystar Peterson (Tory Lanez) had once attended the same high school. The music production classes helped Adrian Prince hone in on his musical sound.

Adrian Prince’s life has not been exempt from the totality of the human experience. Adrian Prince took a brief hiatus from his music career in 2018 to conqueror battles with depression. Sometimes smiles can be genuine, and at other times smiles can mask the pain we’re too apprehensive about expressing publicly.

Adrian Prince is a solo artist, but he’s far from a one-man band. He often collaborates with the talented singer Davia Jackson. The soulful voice of Davia Jackson can be heard on Adrian Prince’s single, Goodbye. Adrian Prince also frequently works with Ty Hartz, another talented Brampton-based music producer, and rapper.
