Life is about leverage and Janae Music leverages her resources well. She found herself opening up for Mulatto and the late Young Dolph in Atlanta, GA, as soon as she began her rap career in December 2020.

Following her performance, she was interviewed by Complex Magazine. Janae Music told Complex Magazine, “Even though it was COVID, even though it’s these precautions… For me, I’m like, ‘Look, I got to do what I got to do, because it’s the grind. If you really want it, you’re going to do what you’ve got to do.”

The “More” music video follows the ambitious Janae Music being depicted as a child mastering the Monopoly Board game. The next scene jumps cut to Janae Music as an adult overseeing a business meeting in a board room dressed in an all red business suit. When asked why she chose an all red business suit Janae Music replied, “I wanted to communicate power and communicate that I was bossing up. I included the Monopoly Board game scene to illustrate growth from a child to being a boss as an adult.”

In the psychology of colors, the color red non-verbally communicates power.
